Social Arraigo 2026:
Your path to legality

If you have been in Spain for 2 years, you could get your residence today. We explain the Regulation reform and how to speed up your case step by step.

Get your residence in record time

After the Regulation reform (Spanish Royal Decree 1155/2024), things have become a bit simpler. The most important change: now you only need to prove 2 years of stay instead of the 3 previously required.

Since May 2025, the rules are more flexible to help more people step into legality.

What exactly is Social Arraigo?

It is a temporary residence permit (which normally allows you to work) designed for people who have already integrated into Spain, have built ties, and have been living here continuously for a while.

"It is, par excellence, the most used way to regularize yourself if you already have roots in Spain."
